In the opinion of Stephen Fry, and my own, the worst words in this world are those that describe pain, torture, agony, and destruction. And strangely enough we use these to describe the mendacities of life. You know what I mean, “That test was torture” or “I got raped by question 7”. I can assure that victims of rape, and torture have never described their experiences as “A really difficult Calculus exam with unfair questions” Many people seem to think that using these words grossly out of context is some how more appropiate than using a swear word in context. I would much rather hear someone say, “that the test was #2ing hard, the Professor is such a #2ing #4, I think I might have failed. #2!!! MOTHER #2ER, 2ing #3!!! 5!!!!!!!!”
Prissy, easily offended people assume that swearing is the mark of a poor vocabulary, or a lack of intellectuality. As an intellectual and somebody armed with a comprehensive, prodigious, and capacious vocabulary, I can assure you that swearing is not the sign of the uneducated. And in fact the people who do think this tend to have #3 for brains. It is people like this who often forget that swear words are still WORDS! Any and all the words you learn EXPAND your vocabulary. The truest sign of a weak vocabulary is the use of a word or words repetitively and repeatedly when referring to a diversity of situations, and circumstances. Furthermore, the greatest sign of a non-intellectual is of course not swearing, but intolerance, and purposeful ignorance. Swearing itself can be used in a novel fashion to illustrate the creativity of the individual. For example, the other day I heard this girl in a Hijab say to her equally Hijab clad homie, “OMG! You’re such a dirty, #2ing slut monkey!”
“Yeah Billal, but it’s not NESESSARY to swear” Of course it isn’t #2ing necessary to #2ing swear all the #2ing time. A great number of things in life aren’t necessary. Mansions aren’t necessary, poetry isn’t necessary, and Kool Aid certainly isn’t necessary. If I was to live my life by what is physically and verbally necessary, then I would be living in a hut, eating meals of plain white rice, writing the most boring articles you have ever read. Life isn’t about what’s necessary; it’s the unnecessary things that make life worth living.
Although I am an advocate of swearing, I am in no way giving you license to swear whenever, wherever, and at whoever you want. You can’t just run into the middle of a wedding and say, “The Bride is a total screaming, monkey #1, the Groom is a #2ing collar popping, douche-bag, and all the rest of you are a bunch of #4’s.” As George Carlin said, words themselves aren’t offensive; it’s the context in which they are used. In the context of anger, and a wedding, swearing can be quite rude and offensive. However, in the context of a great movie, and friends, saying, “That movie was #2ing AWESOME. OMG THAT #3 was OFF THE HOOK” is perfectly acceptable. There are no such things as “bad words”. IT’S NOT THE WORDS THAT ARE OFFENSIVE, IT’S THE CONTEXT THAT IS INNAPROPIATE.

It is REALLY annoying when someone makes a comment that an article is not good or sucks for several reasons: 1) someone wrote it and it went up, so at least respect the person for writing it, 2) everyone has a different way of writing, and it is completely wrong to say that one author sucks and the other is better, 3) you freaking write an article and get it up here, 4) Billal is pretty cute just like CB, and both are good writers
