Top 10 TV Villains

Ben Linus from Lost
Ben is one of the most dangerous and diabolic villains to ever hit ABC since Mr. Feeney from Boy Meets World. Ben Linus has lied, killed and manipulated people on the island for years. Not only is he a creepy looking dude, but the man let his own adopted daughter die in cold blood. The man has killed or had a hand in killing just about everyone on the island from John Locke to his own daughter. Any man who can kill his own daughter, or any family member, is automatically in the running for Curry Bear’s TV Villian of the Year Award. You’ll find out at the end of 2009 if Ben Linus still makes the cut.

Nina Myers from 24
Nina Meyers has changed TV the way we know it. Jack Bauer has saved the world countless times and he has lost a lot in doing so. However, nothing was worse than Nina shooting and killing his pregnant wife in season one. That was one of the most shocking and unexpected scenes in a season finale. Not only did Nina shoot and kill a pregnant Teri Bauer, but she manipulated Jack into having an affair with her. She also had Jack’s #2 man Tony Almieda wrapped around her fingers. If that was not bad enough she came back in a later season to manipulate Jack again and force him to make out with her. Nina is one of the most sadistic TV villains of all time. No one has done more damage to Jack Bauer than this woman.

Shane Vendrell from The Shield
If anyone has seen the last two seasons of The Shield, they remember the intense scene where Shane kills his partner Lem. It was one of the most heart wrenching scenes in TV history. After I saw that episode, I was in a full blown depression for weeks and cried in the shower. I still take Prozac because of this show. The actor who plays Shane is extremely talented – and that is an understatement. He makes you hate him with a passion, wishing for his plans to backfire on him and have him get what he deserves. Shane did every horrible thing from killing his partner, black mailing his crew, cheating on his wife and fucking underage girls. He was a hick, a racist, and a complete asshole. He played the part so well that if I ever saw the actor in real life, I might actually kill him myself.

Lex Luthor from Smallville
Lex Luthor is the second best villain in the comic book world. The first being The Joker, of course. In the comics, Lex Luthor actually becomes President of the USA. Yes, he is the only villain to actually win in the comics. However, on Smallville he is not up to that level on the villain meter yet. He is still one of the best villains on TV, manipulating and killing his way to the top and also being on top of Lana Lang. He has clever one-liners, awesome quotes, and a shitload of money. All these ingredients go into making a badass villain. He also has fancy cars and gets to bang all the hot chicks. If only Lex Luthor could start a Villain Academy so I could become a badass mofo like him.

Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl
Yes, Curry Bear watches the occasional Gossip Girl. There is no villain more evil than a mean girl. One of the meanest girls on TV just happens to be Blair Wordroff. Blair is a totally rich, selfish bitch. What sets her apart is that she does it with style. She has done some horrible things on the show but damn it to hell if she does not make it look fun. Gossip Girl is a mean spirited show and appeals to mean people, like myself. However, you don’t need to be a girl to be mean. That is where Chuck Bass comes into play. Chuck is like a real life Lex Luthor, without the lame Clark Kent story line. He blackmails people, calls his step-mother a whore at his dad’s funeral, and bangs many hot models all before he has even turned 18. Hell, this guy is my hero.

Sylar from Heroes
Sylar has to be the most powerful villains on TV. There really is no one as powerful and as sadistic as this serial killer. Sylar can steal other peoples powers, know when people are lying, shape-shift, and even tell a joke once in a while. While everyone else on Heroes is getting lame and predictable, Sylar’s story line is the only one that is semi-interesting. Not only does Sylar have a wide range of awesome powers, he is a genius as well. One of his powers is that he can understand how things work. This makes him not only a great villain physically but also mentally. However, Sylar is actually not all that hated by viewers. He is the favorite character on the whole show by many, including myself. All Sylar needs to do now is steal a power that helps him become creative, kill the writers of the show and then start writing the show by himself. Shit, that could be a show in itself.

T-Bag from Prison Break
Prison Beak, you were such an awesome show! What happened? Yes, this show got really lame at the end of the last season but if you can look back to season 1 and 2, there was no villain better and creepier than Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell. Not only did he have an awesome name, but he has the creepiest charm this side of the Mississippi. T-Bag possesses this Southern charm that makes you smile while sending shivers up your spine. He was the leader of the whiteys in prison in season one and tried to rape Michael Scofield. He killed many people on the show but the most disturbing fact was what had gotten him sent to prison. He had raped and killed several children in a school bus. The worst part was it was not in that order. Not only was his action horrendous, but also his conception. He was born as an inbred. His mother and father were brother and sister and he was born because his mentally retarded father raped his sister. I mean if that is not a badass back story, I don’t know what is.

Dexter Morgan from Dexter
One of the best shows you are not watching is Dexter on Showtime. Dexter Morgan is a blood splatter analyst by day, serial killer by night. Dexter is a serial killer, but he is not all bad. He only kills bad guys. Dexter is America’s favorite serial killer. He’s smart and always one step ahead of the cops. He has a strange OCD about his killings and even has creepy rituals. Even though he goes around killing bad people, it isn’t for justice. He isn’t a vigilante making the world a better place. He is just a killer. He had a traumatic experience as a child and his father knew he was going to grow up to be a serial killer. The reason he only kills bad guys is because his dad gave him a code. He follows this code and it gives him peace, balance, and an excuse to kill people. It is really interesting to watch Dexter as he tries to act like a normal person, when deep inside he feels nothing. Dexter is one of the most interesting villains on TV.

Eric Cartman from South Park
Cartman has to be the best animated TV villain of all time. One time he ground up a kids parents in spaghetti and meatballs and then made that kid eat his parents. That is some hardcore serial killer shit. Cartman is one of the funniest characters on TV, but his comedy comes from shock value. Some of the stuff they do on the show make you just shake your head in disbelief. Even his own friends hate him but the viewers love him. Cartman is also one of the most racist characters on TV admitting to hating Jews several times. He also curses out his mom many times, which I think is a pre-requisite to becoming a villain. In the animated world, Cartman is the ultimate badass.

Stewie Griffin from Family Guy
Stewie Griffin is one of the funniest villains on TV. And what is not to love about a baby saying dirty things? He may have funny lines and jokes, but is he really a villain? Well, if you don’t think he is a villain then maybe you should borrow some money from him and not pay him back by 5 o’ clock. Not only has Stewie tried several times to kills his own mother, he has also killed some several other people. This includes burning his baby girlfriend and the other baby she was cheating on him in a pretend cardboard house. The only thing keeping Stewie Griffin from replacing Cartman as the ultimate animated villain is that Stewie is not that racist. I think all his hatred is devoted to his mother Lois. If he could diversify that hatred amongst the Jews, Blacks and Hispanics, then he will tie with Cartman.

Sick list man. But I think Cartman ground up Scott Tennorman’s parents and made chili, not spaghetti and made him eat that.

Actually, Dexter does have feelings, he’s experiencing deeper ones more and more becoming more “human” by the episode which is actually kind of annoying me. I miss the heartless Dester of old.
