MTV VMA Awards- Kanye Pissed Off, Britney Sucks, and Fifty Cent Quiting?

It’s a busy week in the music industry. While everyone is talking about how horrible Britney Spears was at the VMA, people didn’t notice Kanye West having a total melt down backstage at the award. After being nominated for 5 awards and not winning a single one, the artist flips out. I don’t know why Kanye was so pissed. I mean did he just figure out that MTV is run by a bunch of white executives more interested in making money and getting good ratings than rewarding good music. Listen Kanye, now I aint saying MTV is a gold-digger, but they ain’t givin’ you awards nigga.
Now some of you might say Kanye is just being a sore loser, or as the rap stars would put it, “a bitch ass nigga”. However, Kanye is known to work really hard on his music. I can see why someone would get so passionate about being underrated. But then again, so are rappers like Nas, Rakim, Talib Kweli, and Common. You don’t see them screaming, “Whitey be holdin’ me down”. Even though Kanye has made some good music, is he really surprised he lost to Justin Timberlake? Timberlake is so recognized that even my spell-check recognizes his name (true story check it out). I mean, I feel embarrassed giving props to a former boy band member but you have to give respect to where it’s due (no homo). Almost every hit this summer had Justin Timberlake in it. The guy is in more places than the color black (no homo).
Speaking of Kanye, 50 Cent said he’d hang up his mic if Kanye West’s new album outsold his. He might have spoken too soon. Critics are raving about West’s Graduation – and its already sold 200,000 more units than Fiddy’s Curtis since yesterday’s same-day release in the US. Fifty might be singing “I get money, money is got. I can’t beat Kanye even though I got shot”.
Also, if you guys really want to see Britney Spears horrible performance, check out this site, courtesy of Genome. She performs her new song, “Gimme More”. The song should be called “Gimme More Talent” because it’s obvious she no longer has any or possibly never did.
In a magazine i read over the summer Kayne claims Justin Timberlake to be his biggest inspiration and competition. And when they asked him about his competition against 50 cent, he said “what competition?”
Kayne knew album ain’t all that.
