Desi Speed Dating/Matchmaking Events in June
LOST is over. 24 is canceled. Miss USA is Arab, A Pakistani beat an Italian in boxing, President is black, Tiger Woods cheated, there are earthquakes, oil spills, volcanic ash, and a giant hole in Guatemala. Let’s face it people, we not gonna make it pass 2012.
And if the world ends in 2012 do you really want to die alone? Now you don’t have to! A few weeks ago IndianD8 did a speed dating and matchmaking event. It was very popular and sold out quick. This time they are giving Curry Bear fans advance notice. Just like last time there are three events; Hindu, Sikh, and Muslim.
Let’s face it a lot of us just graduated and meeting people after college is a lot harder than meeting people while studying for exams. So sign up for the match making events. I been to one before and it’s really cool.
Other than the match making/ speed dating events, they will also be throwing their infamous lock and key party. A few weeks ago I wrote an article about the Desi Defense Mechanism. This makes it hard for Desis to meet other Desi people. However, IndianD8 has found a way around it. The Lock and Key party works like this: Guys get keys. Girls get Locks. You have to find the lock that matches your key. If you find your match you get to win a prize, raffle, or a hug from me. It’s a great ice breaker.
IndianD8 has thrown many successful events in the UK and our now bringing this to the US. Those damn Brits are always so far ahead of us. Please do check out these events. CB himself will be at least 2 of them. If you find me, you get to rub Vicks Vapor Rub on my chest.

This is a really good option for muslims. Who can’t date. Hell marriage for muslims is pretty much speed dating. You only get to meet the person for 2 mins.
