VOTE ISHAARA ON AMERICA’S GOT TALENT TONIGHT!
Curry Bear just watched UC Berkeley Ishaara perform on America’s Got Talent. There have been many times when I shamelessly told people to vote for someone Desi just to support the Desi movement (ahem cough Sanjaya cough cough). However, this is not one of those times. The judges themselves said that Ishaara was the best dance team on the show. Curry Bear urges you guys to go call, text, or go online and vote for UC Berkeley Ishaara. I have seen this team perform many times and I believe they are sandbagging us and holding their best performance for the finale. If they make it through I have a feeling we will see something great. Curry Bear is not jumping on the Ishaara bandwagon. I have always been a big Ishaara fan and I have the reviews to prove it. However, if I knew they were going to be famous I would not have went to that one horrible afterparty and stayed at the bar with three of the girls from Ishaara. They were totally feeling me. Even though I have met this team several times, they don’t know who Curry Bear is but they better give me a shout-out, high-five, or atleast a cuddle.

I didn’t see it, did they perform better than last time?
In my opinion, last night Ishaara did not give it their “all”. Their youtube videos were better than this. They should’ve atleast taken bits and pieces of their previous performances and put it into a huge skit. That would have even been better. Dancing to “Papu can’t dance sala” was probably the worst decision. because white American people have no idea why the song is “Hey muscular, hey popular, spectacular! He’s a bachelor! …Papu can’t dance sala!”. I tried watching the performance in a “white person’s view” and I found myself totally lost and found it nothing great compared to the other dance groups. Although the judges gave them good reviews, I still feel like they were distracted by the pretty colors of their costumes.

I agree, bad choice in sound, but that’s the only thing I can hate on. They were hella clean and sexy as hell. Their choreography was good, the formation was decent given what they had. Overall, awesome performance. The song was a bad choice, that’s all.
